Head Teacher’s Blog 8.7.19-12.7.19

Hi Everyone,

WELL DONE to everyone for another GREAT week especially our Year 5 and Year 6 children who were AMAZING in their production ‘Aladdin Trouble’ on Wednesday!

The dress rehearsal on Monday was a bit flat but the performances on Wednesday were FANTASTIC! Great audiences too, so sincere thanks to all parents, grandparents and family members who came to watch. What a GREAT SHOW!

Mr McCabe and Miss Prunty from St Joseph’s came on Monday after school to deliver a ‘St Joseph’s Road show’ for Year 4 and Year 5 parents and children. This was well attended and the opportunity to find out more about St Joseph’s and ask any questions. Mr McCabe did say that if you would like to visit the school just contact them and there will be open evenings next term if you would like to attend. Thank-you to all who came and I hope you found it useful.

Year 1 and Year 2 children took part in an after-school enrichment activity on Wednesday and we awarded certificates in assembly on Friday for resilience, being a good team player and problem solving – BRILLIANT Y1 and Y2 WELL DONE!

Friday was our French Day and the children very much enjoyed their croissants! They also enjoyed the activities to further promote French as our modern foreign language. Tres bien everyone!

‘Bernie’s Got Talent’ winners joined me for lunch on Friday and we had a lovely time, they were a SUPER group! WELL DONE again to all our winners but to also say everyone who took part was super too!

Our Year 1 and Year 2 football teams had matches at Lostock on Monday after school and played well – GREAT team spirit! WELL DONE Year 1 and Year 2!
