Head Teacher’s Blog 4.11.19-8.11.19

Hi Everyone,

WELL DONE everyone on another great week! We have been busy doing our Christmas card designs for the PSA Christmas card programme- they look great!

We welcomed lots of visitors on Wednesday evening and today in school during our open session for any parents and new Reception children for September 2020. It was wonderful to meet so many new parents and children. Our Year 6 House Captains did all the tours today showing new parents and children round our lovely school – they were FANTASTIC! WELL DONE YEAR 6!

Sincere thanks to all of you as our existing parents who help us to spread the word about our school – it really helps! Your recommendations are so valuable, thank-you!

PSA News

The  Christmas Card design project designs have now been collected and you will receive information soon about how to order the cards with your child’s design.

This was a very successful project last year and well supported by parents, it also raises vital money for school.

Thank-you for your support and to the PSA for organising it.

The final race for Cross Country will take place next Thursday at Rivington and Blackrod high school during the afternoon. This is the last race of the season and we have been sent a list of the runners from the results of previous races to take part.

We focussed on ‘November to Remember’ in our assembly on Monday and a HUGE thank-you for supporting the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal – our collection tub is overflowing!! The children are writing down any loved ones we wish to remember in this special month as well as all those who gave their lives for peace in our world. The Memory Basket will be on our prayer table in every assembly so we can pray for all those remembered.
