Head Teacher’s Blog 25.11.19-29.11.19

Hi Everyone,

Another busy and super week – thank-you everyone and WELL DONE! The highlight of this week was the visiting theatre company who performed ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ for KS2 in the morning and KS1 in the afternoon. The children loved it! Sincere thanks to the PSA who funded this for the whole school – FANTASTIC!

We had the first full governors meeting last night, the autumn term meeting. The governing board meet once per term but also have committee meetings each half term. Our Governors are invited to visit school each half term to do a Learning Walk, these are always great and help governors to have a clear insight into the daily life of school. Our Governors are vital partners in the strategic development of our school and to ensure that all educational, legal and financial requirements are met. My thanks to all governors for their valuable support.

A very BIG thank-you for the very generous donations today for our colour Christmas hamper raffle. Tickets will be on sale after Tuesday next week and the draw will be after Advent Mass on Wednesday 18th December.

Our Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 classes are rehearsing hard for their nativity performances. We look forward to seeing our wonderful Reception Class perform their nativity play ‘Our First Nativity’ next week!

Every class is getting ready to start their Advent journey and we will begin as whole school next week following the first Sunday in Advent this Sunday. We will be reflecting on how we can prepare to welcome the baby Jesus into our hearts. lives, homes and world.
