Head Teacher’s Blog 14.10.19-18.10.19

Hi Everyone,

WELL DONE everyone on a GREAT first half term! Everyone has settled so well especially our new Reception children. They are firmly established as wonderful school family members now!

A busy first half term and always a challenge as we all get back into our learning, new expectations. new teachers and classrooms. The children have been FABULOUS and I think we are now all into our routines – keep it up everyone!

The children are ready for a well deserved break but I know they will return after the holiday ready to work hard and enjoy the run up to Christmas!

Our Harvest Mass on Wednesday was lovely, sincere thanks for your very generous donations of tea, coffee and sugar that will be collected by the Brothers from the Missionaries of Charity. It was wonderful to be joined by so many parents, grandparents and family members, thank-you.

In Monday’s assembly the focus was behaviour and reflecting on our first half term, we celebrated our successes and reminded ourselves about being good listeners.

Parental Conferences went very well, many thanks for your attendance and we hope you found them useful. We have Parental Conferences again in the spring term but in the summer term you will receive your child’s annual written report. This means that as parents you receive information about your child’s attainment and progress each term.

We had our first Own Clothes Day today so much excitement! Thank-you for  the donations and we normally have an own clothes day each half term. There are other occasions when we do additional days but we will let you know.

Reminders for half term

  • We return on Monday 28th October
  • Thurs. 31st- HALLOWEEN DISCO 3.15-4.45pm

The children have been busy writing prayers each day with our Pupil Chaplains so much so we have filled the prayer basket each week! We remember all those prayer intentions in our Friday Awards Assembly and it is always lovely to share the children’s prayers.

On behalf of all the staff can I wish you all a happy, enjoyable, safe and lovely half term holiday. You will all be in my prayers and we look forward to seeing you on the 28th!

God bless

Mrs Doodson
